Web-First App

Fina is a web-first app, which means it is designed to be used on the web browser, no matter what device you are using. As long as you have a web browser, you can access Fina.

However, native app has a lot of advantages over web app, such as:

  1. Offline Access: You can access Fina even when you are offline.
  2. Push Notifications: You can receive notifications even when the app is not running.
  3. Native Features: You can use native features of the device, such as camera, GPS, (Apple) Wallet, etc.
  4. Performance: Native apps are generally faster and more responsive than web apps.

Fina is a web-first app, but we are looking for resources to build a great native app for iOS and Android. We will keep you updated on the progress.

Intermediate Step - Bookmark Alike Mobile App​

Before we have a native app, we have a great solution for you to use Fina on your mobile device.

Since we put a lot of effort to make Fina mobile friendly, you can use Fina on your mobile device just like a native app. It looks like this on iPhone:

If you like it, here are the steps to install Fina App on your mobile device:

For iOS​

  1. Open Safari browser and go to Fina App: https://app.fina.money
  2. Sign in using your Fina account.
  3. Click the "Share" button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  4. Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
  5. Enter a name for the app (e.g., "Fina App") and click Add.
  6. The Fina App icon will now appear on your home screen.
  7. You can now open Fina App from your home screen just like a native app.
  8. Enjoy the "Fina App" on your iOS device!

For Android​

  1. Open Chrome browser and go to Fina App: https://app.fina.money
  2. Sign in using your Fina account.
  3. Click the "Menu" button (three dots in the top right corner).
  4. Select Add to Home Screen.
  5. Enter a name for the app (e.g., "Fina App") and click Add.
  6. The Fina App icon will now appear on your home screen.
  7. You can now open Fina App from your home screen just like a native app.
  8. Enjoy the "Fina App" on your Android device!
