Set Up Business

Business Settings control how your business appears on invoices and how paid invoices connect back to your Fina cashflow.

Set this up first. A few minutes here makes every customer invoice cleaner and faster.

Open Business Settings

  1. Open the Business module.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Fill out each section.
  4. Click Save.

You can use Preview Invoice at any time to see how your settings will look on a sample invoice.

Business Identity

The Business section is the identity shown on invoices.

Fill in:

  1. Business Name: the name customers should see.
  2. Business Logo: a logo URL used on the invoice.
  3. Business Address: your mailing or business address.

This makes every invoice feel official and consistent. It also saves time because you do not need to re-enter these details on each invoice.

Contact Information

The Contact section controls customer-facing contact details.

Fill in:

  1. Email: the billing or business email customers can reply to.
  2. Phone: the phone number customers should use.
  3. Website: your business website.

Use the contact information you want customers to see, not necessarily the email you use to sign in to Fina.

Cashflow Account

The Cashflow section lets you choose the business checking account that should receive paid invoice income in Fina.

Choose a Business Checking Account from your current profile accounts.

When an invoice is paid through the automated workflow, Fina can create a matching income transaction for that account. This keeps your business cashflow view closer to reality without extra manual entry.

tip

If you do not see the account you expect, make sure the account is added to the current profile and is set up as a depository account.

Stripe Connection

The Stripe section connects payment links to your invoices.

When Stripe is connected, you can generate a payment link for an invoice. Customers can pay online, and Fina can update the invoice when payment is completed.

You can also disconnect Stripe from this section. If Stripe is disconnected, existing invoice records remain in Fina, but invoice payment links will not accept new card payments through the connected Stripe account.

Invoice Style

The Invoice section controls visual and text defaults.

You can set:

  1. Accent Color: the highlight color used in invoice presentation.
  2. Footer Note: a default message shown at the bottom of invoices.

A simple footer note such as "Thank you for your business!" is enough for most businesses.

Preset Services

The Preset Services section helps you create invoices faster.

Add common products or services with a description and unit price. When creating an invoice, you can insert these preset services instead of typing the same line items every time.

Examples:

  1. Monthly advisory retainer.
  2. Consulting session.
  3. Project setup.
  4. Design package.
  5. Maintenance plan.

Preset services are especially useful when you sell the same type of work to multiple customers.

For the smoothest workflow, set up Business Tier in this order:

  1. Add or confirm your business checking account in Fina.
  2. Complete Business Settings.
  3. Connect Stripe if you want online payment links.
  4. Add preset services.
  5. Add customers.
  6. Start creating invoices.
