What Investors Care

For most retail investors, tracking investments is not just about seeing whether the market is up or down today. The real challenge is understanding where money is invested, how each position is performing, how much risk is concentrated in a few holdings, and whether the overall portfolio is still aligned with long-term goals.

As portfolios grow across brokerage accounts, retirement accounts, cash positions, ETFs, individual stocks, and other securities, the basics become harder to answer quickly. What is the current allocation? Which holdings are driving gains or losses? How much of the portfolio depends on a single company, sector, or asset class? Are new contributions, dividends, and market movements changing the plan without being noticed?

Investors need a clear, reliable way to bring these details together without building spreadsheets by hand or jumping between disconnected account views. Fina's elevated investment tracking is designed around these everyday questions, giving investors a more complete view of their holdings and the context needed to make better decisions.

Security Holdings for Each Account

For every single account you linked or manually created in your Fina workspace, there is an "account information" panel you can click to open. Depends on the account type, you may see extra tab in addition to "Details" and "Transactions":

  • Credit: for credit type, you can see a matched credit card and its reward info here, you can also change the matched credit card.
  • Investment: this tab list all security holdings for this account.

From this tab, you can also add extra security holding easily. View a holding security details or update its cost-basis if needed.

Track All Holdings Together

Fina provides an independent module "Holdings" to aggregate all security holdings in one place.

You can use account selector to filter what accounts to include. Same ticker from multiple accounts will be aggregated for you review. By clicking a holding ticker, you will open the ticker information panel, which includes two useful tabs:

  1. Details: this includes real-time price and all up-to-date information about this symbol as well as its company's financial data. ticker-info.png

  2. Transactions: this includes all historical activities related to this holding, and extract useful metrics of it. ticker-activities.png

This gives you a complete information about a specific security holding so that you don't need to dig mulitple places for a full view.

Use Fina Block

Fina is a flexible system where you can compose any documents with insightful blocks. Typing "/" in any page to start adding a block.

Now we have added a pre-made block under scenario section, you can track all computed metrics about all your security holdings over there. holding-block.png
